Beauty Haul - Boots, The Body Shop .....

I have been buying so much recently! I was off work ill and I took to the internet, online shopping! I have also been visiting Boots far too often and basically not being firm enough with myself. I haven't been writing haul posts though! I'm not sure why, maybe I think it won't count if I don't post it! A lot of products have slipped through the net but I'm sure they will show up in future posts. This post is a little sale order from The Body Shop, a few things from Boots and some random bits that I have managed to track down from my mad spending!

The random things first of all! The Seventeen product was bought along with several other products but I can't seem to remember which ones!

Seventeen Skin Wow 3 Way Highlighter £5.99

The idea of this is that it can be used as a primer, highlight or mixed with your foundation for a more shimmery look. I plan to use this as a highlight as I can imagine it being a bit too disco-ball like for all over the face.

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk £4.49

This product is so raved about that I felt it was finally time to try it. I picked this up from an eBay shop so I'm not sure what the official retail price is, although I think it's similar to what I paid and I got free shipping.

Urban Decay 24/7 Concealer Pencil in M16

I have this in the lightest shade and absolutely love it! I use it everyday to highlight and especially to brighten the under eye area. Recently I have been experimenting with cream contouring using concealers and decided to try this in the darkest shade available, M16.

Next up, a few boring items from Boots!

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge £5.99

This is the reson I was in the shop in the first place! This is a repurchase and an absolute favourite of mine. I have been using my sponge daily and love the flawless finish it gives. I decided to repurchase because mine has seen better days!

Botanics Soothing Eye Makeup Remover £2.66

I had a voucher for 100 extra points when you bought any Botanics product and so I found myself browsing the range! I bought this eye makeup remover because I'm running low on my current one and fancied trying something new.

Collection Sheer Loose Powder £2.99

I love watching Wayne Goss makeup videos and recently I saw the one where he recommends powder under foundation to make it last longer! I have been trying it but he suggested a loose powder over a pressed one and I realised that was something I didn't have! This is just a translucent powder and I usually like Collection powders so hopefully I will have success with this one!

Natural Collection Blush in Sugar Plum £1.99

This is another shameless point-voucher purchase! I had a coupon for 50 points with any Natural Collection product so I just had to pick one up! I have other shades of these blushes and really like them so I knew I couldn't go wrong with this!

I rarely ever buy anything from The Body Shop. In fact, I can't really remember buying anything from there! I fancied trying the Camomile Cleasning Butter after hearing such good things and whilst on the website I noticed 40% off everything and couldn't resist!

Ginger Anti-Dandruff Shampoo £4.50

I have never thought to look in The Body Shop for a shampoo but this looks lovely so I picked one up. Recently my scalp has been a little dry and irritated and so hopefully this can do something to restore it.

Camomile Cleansing Butter £12

This was my reason for putting in the order and I can't wait to try this product out. Recently I have just been mad for skincare and wanting to try new things. I saw this in the You Beauty Discovery box but it was out of stock so I decided to buy one anyway!

Strawberry Lip Butter £4

I remember having one of these lip butters in the past and really enjoying it. I also love the strawberry scent and so grabbed one of these whilst on 40% off.

Vitamin C Facial Radiance Capsules £15

I think the excitement of placing an online order may have got me slightly carried away ...... I don't even know what these are for, I just liked the packaging. I shall find out though!

Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion £9

I couldn't place my order without ordering something tea tree! I have been meaning to get some night products for a while as currently I just use the same ones.

All prices are before discount.

If you would like any full reviews, please comment and I will do my best.

Phil Smith Be Gorgeous Wow Brunette Shampoo and Conditioner

Phil Smith Post 1
Phil Smith Post 2

I love Phil Smith hair products! I have previously reviewed 2 sets of shampoo and conditioner, a hair mask and a heat defence spray and I raved about them all! My hair is left silky smooth and, importantly, smelling amazing! I love the scent of these products and my hair is left smelling like I just stepped out of the hair dresser! And now the range has colour specific products for brunette and blonde hair!

Wow Brunette
At £3.50 each these products are extremely affordable which is an added bonus for me as I don't really like to spend a lot on hair care. Wow Brunette is a colour illuminating shampoo for coloured, highlighted or natural brown hair. My hair is dark brown but not dyed and so I was interested to see if these would have an effect.

Firstly I was surprised to see that the products are white in colour. Often a colour shampoo is tinted but these do not fall into that category. The shampoo is a translucent white and the conditioner an opaque, creamy white. The shampoo lathers up well, washes out easily and leaves my hair feeling fresh and clean. I leave the conditioner in my hair for 2 minutes to work and then rinse it out. My hair is left tangle free and very smooth feeling. I am prone to dry scalp but didn't find that these products added to that at all.

My hair is left shiny and in good condition after using these and to me, any colour changes would just be a bonus. Personally I didn't notice any change in the colour but after a few days of use, a colleage asked me if I had coloured my hair as it looked lighter!

For £3.50 each you really can't go wrong with Phil Smith shampoos and conditioners and, as I say, they do smell amazing. My only complaint is that they are only available in Sainsbury's and there isn't one local to me!
