Bee Good Honey & Propolis 2-in-1 Cream Cleanser - Review

I'm a sucker for presentation, packaging and attention to detail. I appreciate time and effort over these things and was therefore delighted to recieve this fantastic little parcel from Bee Good. Not only is the product itself packaged to a high standard but I was also sent a quality information pack and ........ a biscuit! How cute is the little biscuit? An iced version of the product and a little bee! Needless to say I was desperate to eat these but I took my time, made a cup of tea and sat down to read about the company and their work with British bees.

Bee Good was established in 2008 by a husband and wife team. Simon is an experienced beekeeper and Caroline began using the excess honey and beeswax to create natural skincare products. They now make natural, honey based products for the face, body and lips.

The first thing I loved when I saw the outer packaging of the cleanser was the label. The label is printed on special paper which contains seeds and can be ripped up and planted to grow wild flowers which will encourage honeys bees into your garden. This is such a lovely touch!

The cleanser itself comes in an outer box and comes with a muslin cloth. The tube is lovely and simple with an elegant little pattern of flowers and bees.

Now for the product itself. Although this cleanser claims to remove makeup, I did find it worked better if I removed my eye makeup first. The cleanser is a lovely creamy consistency and I use a small amount and work it into my whole face. Once applied the texture is quite firm and tacky and fairly stiff to move around the skin. I actually like this as it makes me really work the cleanser into my skin and I can really feel it removing the dirt from my pores. The cleanser smells lovely; a really fresh and summery scent. After I have massaged my face, I use the wet cloth to polish the product off my face until my skin is clear of the cleanser and the cloth is coming away clean. The cloth included is muslin and personally I prefer a cotton facecloth but it works well with both. My skin is left soft and smooth and has a lovey hydrated feel, even the next day.

At £11.95 this is a mid market cleanser but has a really high end feel to it. The lovely presentation also means it would be great as a gift.
