Face of the Day - Daily Makeup

This is all the products I used today and is more or less what I use on a daily basis at the moment. I'm not going to include the prices or where I bought each thing but if you would like to know just comment below.

Face

Firstly I apply a very light layer of My Trusty Little Sunflower Cream. I use this sparingly as it is a very thick cream and needs well rubbed in. Next I dab my face with spots of Bourjois Bronzing Primer and Maxfactor Facefinity. I use my fingers to blend these together and blend them out to cover my whole face. Using the Real Techniques Detailer Brush I apply a concealer from the Accessorize Concealer Kit under my eyes, around my nose and on any blemishes. I use my index finger to blend this out. Finally, I use the Real Techniques Buffing Brush to apply my Collection Lasting Perdection Ultimate Wear Powder. I use a dabbing techniques around my cheeks, eyes and forehead and then drag the brush around my hairline and jawline to make sure there are no lines.

Contouring and Highlighting

Firstly I use my Real Techniques Contouring Brush to apply my contour. For this I use MUA Bronzed Perfection. I lightly apply this product from my ear to where my dimples are and a small amount around my temples. Next I use my Real Techniques Blush Brush to apply Estée Lauder Pure Color Blush in Electric Pink. I start at the apples of my cheeks and then drag this product up towards my ears. Finally I use the Modelsown Powder Brush to apply Beautyuk Baked Blush in Halo. This product is absolutely gorgeous! I apply this to my cheek bones, lightly down my nose, chin and Cupid's bow.

Eyes

My eyes are something that can vary depending on how much time I have. The products shown above are what I aim to use if I have time, and what I used today. Firstly I apply a base of MUA Eye Primer over each eyelid. For a base colour I use Collection Work the Colour Eyeshadow Pencil in Vintage Blush. Over the outer two thirds of my lid I apply the middle shade from MUA Trio Eyeshadow in Pink Sorbet using a Boots Basic Eyeshadow Brush. I then use the same brush to apply the light colour to the inner corner of the eye and the dark to the outer. To highlight from brow bone I use Shy from the MUA Undress Me Too Palette with a Superdrug Shading Brush. I fill in my brows using a Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil then line my upper lashline and my waterline with Rimmel Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer. I use the Emite Eyelash Curler then apply a base coat of Nivea Lash Elastic and a top coat of Rimmel Scandaleyes.

Lips and Finishing Spray

Firstly I prep my lips using Oh! Organics Vegan Lip Balm*. This is a perfect base because it absorbs straight into the lips and isn't glossy or sticky. Next I apply Collection Cream Puff in Cottin Candy and usually blend it out with my finger. To finish off my face I apply a light misting of MUA Fixing Mist.

That is a full list of everything I wear for a normal, daily look. If you have any questions about the products please write them in the comments box below! I have done whole reviews of many of these products and will link them if appropriate :)

Collection Cream Puff Moisturising Lip Cream - Cotton Candy - Review

I am not going to be able to hold back while I write this review because I LOVE this product. I can't believe I waited so long to get this and now I am making up for lost time!

I picked this up in a recent Boots buy 1 get 1 half price offer. I can't remember the price exactly but I think it was around £2.50 - an absolute bargain!

I like the packaging of this, usually Collection have fairly basic packaging due to the low prices but this has a cute feel to it with the font and the pattern and is sturdy feeling.

The main thing that attracts me to this lip cream is the gorgeous smell. If you haven't smelt this, go to Boots right now and smell this! It is heavenly. It smells like cakes but not in a sickly way. It is just perfect!

The product applies with a wand but is not a lip gloss. It's unlike any lip product I already have. The texture is not sticky or shiny at all and there is no glossy finish to this lip product. Instead it is a matte colour and almost has a powder finish to it meaning it doesn't transfer to food or teeth and is fairly long lasting. It applies really well and has a lovely feeling on the lips! This particular shade is a lovely dark rose colour and suits my skintone perfectly.

I am somewhat obsessed with this product and will definitely pick up the other colours soon! Let me know if you share my love for this!

Vita Liberata Capture The Light Illuminating Skin Finish Translucent Rose - Review

Vita Liberata Capture the Light Illuminating Skin Finish Translucent Rose £29.95*

Capture the Light Translucent Rose has the following benefits:

  • SPF 25
  • Non-toxic and Organic

This beautiful product is designed to be worn on skin either alone or with a Vita Liberata self tan. This particular shade is ideal for pale skin. To apply the product you dispense a small pump then sweep over desired area.

I have been using this as a highlight for the body. I find is look especially nice on collarbones and shoulders, giving them a lovely glow if you are wearing something strapless. A little of this goes a long way and the product applies easily, leaving a soft and smooth finish. This has a lovely, refreshing smell to it.

I have used this both tanned and not. The above pictures show my skin tanned with the self tanner. This is perfect for areas you want to draw attention to and leaves a gorgeous, glowy finish. This is available in ither shades and I would love to try the gold next for a bronze glow when I'm tanned.

As always from Vita Liberata, this is a lovely, high quality product with high-end packaging and fantastic results.

Beautyuk Baked Blush Collection

I am fairly new to Beautyuk as they are a brand sold in Superdrug and my local store only stocks a limited range. What I have used, I have been impressed with. Their products are very affordable, come in lovely colours and are to a high standard for the price. On a shopping trip in Glasgow this summer I purchased Halo from the baked blush range. I was somewhat obsessed with it and raved about it to my friends and so I was delighted when I was given the chance to try the rest of the range for review.

Beautyuk Baked Blush Collection £3.99 each*

What initially drew me to this product was the gorgeous packaging. When products have the low price tags that these do, you usually expect the packaging to be fit for purpose but basis. Beautyuk have gone much further with this range, putting the blushes in gorgeous card boxes which snap shut with a magnet. Each blush has its own mirror inside the lid and the raised dome of the product is a lovely touch.

Apologies that these are laid out in the wrong order but I was in a rush to take the photo before the grey clouds came out again!

The colours in the order shown above are:

Goddess - a multi-tonal bronzer/highlighter that provides a radiant ambience

Rose Rouge - a warm, deep, strawberry pink

Popsicle Pink - for a highly pigmented burst that packs a pink punch

Halo - for a soft pink perfection that goes from day to night time glam

The gorgeous thing about these blushes is the shimmer and that was rather hard to pick up in a photo. The swatches above are also in a bizarre order! Halo, Rose Rouge, Popsicle Pink, Goddess.

Although Halo describes itself as a blush, the shimmer and lightness of the colour make it a fantastic highlighter. I use this everyday on my cheek bones, chin and Cupid's bow and I am forever getting compliments. It gives a gorgeous shine and really draws attention to desired areas.

Goddess also has a beautiful shimmer through it and I love to use it when I have a tan. I have also applied a light dusting with a big brush to my chest area for a gorgeous bronzed look.

Both Popsicle Pink and Rose Rouge are lovely cheek blushers for any skin tone. They can be dusted gently for a subtle colour or built up for a more vibrant look.

The fact that these are baked seems to make the powder much more hard wearing. I have been using Halo for 2 months and my usage isn't visible at all.

I cannot recommended these gorgeous blushes enough. They can be purchased from Superdrug or from the website http://www.beautyukcosmetics.com

L'Oreal Paris New Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution - Review

The beauty blogging world is full of reviews of this product just now and, although not usually one to jump on a bandwagon, I picked this up and gave it a go. Firstly I have to say that this product is an absolute bargain. I picked this up in Morrisons for £2.49 on offer but I have seen this in several places and never for more than £4. The product is said to be a dupe of Bioderma but, as I haven't used that, I can't compare the two.

This product claims to: dissolve makeup, unclog pores and remove impurities, tone and sooth skin.

I use this product in the evening, soaking a cotton pad and wiping over my face. It is extremely gentle. There is absolutely no scent, it doesn't sting the skin or eyes and it really does feel like water. For waterproof eye makeup I still use a small amount of eye makeup remover before using this. In the morning I soak a pad in this product and use it to sort makeup mistakes. This has completely replaced makeup wipes in my routine which I'm really glad about as they are so drying on the skin.

I am totally impressed with this product and will definitely repurchase. It's so handy, really cheap and gentle on the skin.

Have you tried this?

AEOS - Active Energised Organic Skincare

AEOS products contain organic and biodynamic plant extracts, essences and essential oils. Although the companies name suggests that they specialise in skincare, they also make some gorgeous makeup products and I have been lucky enough to trial a few of them.

As per usual I will start with the packaging. The white and silver packaging has not shown up well in the photos but is simple and classy. Each product is in a box and has a lovely, quality feel to it.

Illuminator £11.98*

A sheer, complexion enhancer that instantly adds radiance to the face creating a healthy glowing look and luminosity.

This is a gorgeous, shimmery illumiator suitable for any skintone, even the most pale. It has a gorgeous creamy texture and applies well, leaving a soft and smooth feel. The product applies well over foundation and doesn't crease or appear cakey. I have been using the as a highlight on my cheek bones and it's quick to apply and gives an instant glow. This product also benefits from the most gorgeous scent. It has a slight cocoa butter smell to it and is lovely and sweet. The packaging allows for easy application as this product is in a stick. One piece of advice I will give is that this product rolls up from the top rather than the bottom (it took me a long time to work this out!)

Organic Creme to Powder Blush - Rose £19.99*

Enhances the cheek's natural healthy glow by effortlessly blending into the skin leaving a velvety luminosity.

This is a very subtle blush and a swatch on my hand wouldn't show up on the camera. The packaging of this product is lovely and the blush has its own mirror in the lid. I don't use many cream blushers so I was keen to try this one out. I found I need to really work this cream with my fingers and warm it up before I apply it to my cheeks. It blends well but does need some time to work into the cheeks. When blended this blusher turns to a firm powder and lasts the day. This product also has a gorgeous scent and smells really natural and of lavender.

Biodynamic Nail & Cuticle Oil £14.98*

This rich and protective formula has been developed to replenish the nail and soften the cuticles. Developed using biodynamic Poppy, Sunflower and Spelt Oil all grown with love and intention on Shire Farm, Aura-Soma's Demeter-certified biodynamic farm, and extracted using supercritical CO2 extraction to maintain the full properties of the oils. Spelt oil is rich in natural Vitamin E and essential fatty acids and boasts excellent antioxidant, moisturising and regenerative properties. The formulation is 100% natural. The oil is enhanced with the addition of Rose Quartz and Clear Quartz crystal gem essences.

I love cuticle oil and apply it often but can sometimes find it a messy process. This oil is in a brush pen and takes all the mess out of application! This product also has a lovely natural smell although it is very subtle. The pen winds up at the bottom which releases the oil from the middle of the brush. This is then easy and mess-free to apply around nails. This works well and leaves my cuticles soft and my nails in good condition. I really recommended this product if you like nail oils as the fantastic packaging means its great for throwing in your handbag and applying through the day.

These gorgeous products and many more can be purchased from the website http://www.aeos.net/home.aspx

Miss Glossybox - September/October

As you can see from the picture, there seemed to be loads of items in this months Miss Glossybox! I have decided to keep getting these because so far I have made use of all the items I have received. I also bought this box for my teenage niece as a birthday gift and she loved it. The price is reasonable and I also find the bags really useful. Now for the contents:

Katie Perry Killer Queen Sample (50ml for ££29.50)
I love perfume samples and this one is gorgeous. It's definitely a scent I would wear on a night out.

JvG Soft Touch Eyeliner - Full Size worth £6.95
I have never heard of this brand but I'm really impressed with this product. This is waterproof and is actually designed for the upper lash line. It's a lovely creamy texture and goes on beautifully.

Skinetica Anti-Blemish Gel Sample (80ml for £6.99)
I haven't tried this product but I have had quite a few brake outs recently so I will be happy to try this.

NYC In a NY Color Minute - Time Square - Full Size worth £1.79
I don't often use nail polish because I get gel nails but I might try this on my toes. This also came with a silver nail art bottle but that doesn't seem to be listed on the card.

Beauty UK Posh Pout - Full Size worth £2.99
I like this brand but haven't tried this particular product before. This is described as a tinted lip balm but I would say it is more of a lip colour. It's a bright pink and maybe a bit much for me but has a nice texture and smells nice.

There was also an added extra in the bag which was a compact mirror.

Did you get this box? What did you think of it?

aedos Bath Oils - Review

aedos Bath Oils* £12.95 for 100ml

We have everything you need for the perfect spa experience in your own home. We make natural skincare products to enhance well being and soothe the soul. Turn you bathroom into a haven of relaxation. Perhaps light some candles and take time out to relax and unwind.

I love a relaxing bath with candles, a face mask, a magazine and some lovely oils. These oils are perfect for that and help me relax after the busiest of days!

These oils come in 3 varieties: Geranium & English Lavender, Orange Blossom and Dreamtime. Please note that the bottles pictured are half-sized samples, 50ml.

To create the perfect relaxing bath you simply add 10ml of the oils to your bath. I swirled this about with my hand before stepping into the bath. The scent for these fills your bathroom with the steam but isn't overpowering. I love the scents of these and the subtle smell lasts for a long time. I also found these oils left my skin really soft and smooth after the bath.

The full sized bottles contain enough oil for 10 baths and this product is a really reasonable price. The ingredients are natural and the website provides details of which ingredients are also organic or local.

I am really enjoying these oils and think they are a lovely product for the whole family.

These can be purchased from the website and PayPal can be used for payment http://www.aedos.co.uk/index.php/body-bath.html

Glossybox - September 2013 - The London Edition

The London Edition
Glossybox seems to be late in the month this time round but it was definitely worth the wait. The theme of this months box is London. I'm never really sure about the themes because the products don't always seem to match but the box is definitely in keeping with the theme. Inside the box the tissue is also London themed. I can't say I'm a huge fan of this design but the box will get used all the same. Glossybox have changed their insert once again, now opting for a glossy magazine and a product menu card, similar to the Souk Souk box. I really like this change.

Eyelure Pre-glued lashes - Full size £5.06
I occasionally wear false lashes and have used this brand several times before. I like them but I don't usually opt for pre-glued. I will use these on a night out though and it will be interesting to see how the pre-glued ones last.

Toni&Guy Hair Meets Wardrobe Classic Shine & Gloss Serum - Full size £7.19
I don't use many hair products but I do like a bit of shine spray so I will be interested in trying this. This is to be used on blow-dried hair to control frizz. I also like the packaging which is a funky black and grey.

Elizabeth Arden Untold - 5ml Sample (£48 for 50ml)
I'm never one to moan about a perfume sample and I especially love it when they are a decent size and in a proper little bottle like this one. The bottle is lovely and this perfume smells gorgeous. I get over a months use of daily wear from a 5ml sample so keep up the good wok Glossybox!

Be A Bombshell Cosmetics Onyx Eye Liner - Full size $14
Bit confused about this one. The price is in dollars but I thought the theme of the box was products from Britain. This is a felt-tip eyeliner. I haven't used one before so I am looking forward to giving it a go. It is in black which is good because I have occasionally had these things in colours I wouldn't use.

Rimmel Stay Blushed Blusher - Full size £4.49
I am predicting some backlash on this product because Rimmel has never been considered a luxury brand. Personally this doesn't bother me as I like Rimmel products and I look forward to giving this a go.

I love this box and I am really impressed with the 4 full sized products that I received.

I wasn't sure whether to write a review of my Glossybox this month so I would love to know if my readers still want these monthly posts. Please comment in the box below :)

Eden Organic Care Avocado Oil - Review

Oils are everywhere just now. Everywhere you look, argan oil is on the shelves and I am forever reading about the benefit of oils for our skin and hair. One product I hadn't heard of though was Avocado Oil. I was instantly drawn to it by how natural it sounds.

Eden Organic Care Avocado Oil* £14.99

As usual I will start with packaging. Natural products have a reputation of being very simple in the packaging stakes. I'm not sure why but the fact that this is 100% avocado oil made me think it would look like something on the shelves in a health food shop. The box isn't much to look at but, when opened, I was pleasantly surprised.

The bottle is gorgeous. It is plastic but has two layers meaning its like a silver tube inside a clear bottle. It feels really sturdy and is much nicer than any oil packaging I have seen before. I am also pleased to see this oil with a pump. Oils I have had previously have pouring of droplet tops and I don't find these as easy or mess free to use.

On first impressions I was unsure what to make of this oil. It is a dark green colour and has a grassy smell. Although not unpleasant, I am not used to putting such natural smelling products on my face. Any uncertainties I had about this product were soon gone when I woke up and felt my beautifully smooth skin!

I used two pumps of the oil, one for my face and one for my neck, and rubbed this into my skin in upward strokes. I also used this in my elbows and knees and other areas of dryness. I slept in the oil but it absorbed well on my skin and I could have easily applied makeup on top. After one use of this product my skin was noticeably soft and smooth however after a few days I found my skin felt really even and my makeup was applying beautifully.

I am not a fan of hair oils due to my really fine hair bit I did use this one because, unlike others, you apply to dry hair then wash it off. I found that the ends of my hair felt much more hydrated after using this and my split ends were less viable.

I am really glad I gave this product a chance because, after my early uncertainty, I love this product and am happy to have it in my skincare routine.

This gorgeous oil can be purchased for the website http://www.edenorganiccare.com/product.php

Have you tried an avocado oil before?

Max Factor Face Finity All Day Flawless 3 in 1 Foundation - Review

I have been using Estée Lauder Double Wear for a while now and I like it. I love the coverage and how long lasting it is but I also find a few problems in it and I'm not sure that it is worth the hefty price tag. Before repurchasing I have decided to try a few alternatives starting with this one.

The first positive for this foundation is the price tag. At £12 this is less than half the price of Double Wear. I also much prefer the packaging which has a pump for easy application.

The colour I have is Beige and is a great match to my skin tone. Rarely for a drugstore foundation, it is actually a better match than Double Wear which was slightly too yellowy for my complexion.

This product applies well. I only need a small amount, less than two pumps to cover my face. I blend this with my fingers and it applies smoothly and doesn't cling to any areas. The foundation is really build-able and doesn't go cakey if you need more coverage. The coverage is good, I would say medium. The foundation is long lasting and doesn't shift all day.

This product claims to be 3 in 1: primer, concealer and foundation. Personally I use a concealer with this but it does a great job of covering blemishes due to how well it builds. Although this does apply well, I have been using a primer to help the foundation last longer; which I think it needs.

So far I am enjoying using this but I am not blown away. It leaves my skin smooth but I'm not sure that is how as much coverage or lasts as long as Double Wear.

Can you recommend a foundation for me?

Bourjois Paris Bronzing Primer

I have loads of bronzers but I rarely use them. I get a bit scared of the dark colour against my fairly pale complexion and worry that I look slightly dirty when it is applied! I had originally popped into Boots to buy the chocolate block bronzer but saw this primer and decided to give it a go. A fellow blogger had told me this was super and I watched her use it in tutorials and decided it was for me!

This is a primer so it is designed to be applied as a base for foundation. It can also be used in its own. I dabbed a small amount around my face and blended it out with my finger tip. This primer smells amazing! It has a gorgeous, chocolatey fragrance and smells good enough to eat! It's blends easily and left my face with a lovely glow. Personally I wouldn't have worn that look on its own as it was too dark for my skin. I then applied my foundation over the top and was left with a smooth base and a lovely glow.

If you use fake tan like I do then this is definitely a product for you. I have used it under my foundation and mixed it with my foundation to change the shade when I have a tanned face. It works perfectly and means you don't have to purchase another shade of foundation.

This primer is slightly more expensive than I would normally buy at £9.99 but a little goes a long way and I can see this product lasting me a long time.

Have you tried this?

Beyond Organic Skincare

Recently I have been getting really into natural skincare. The need to put artificial and possibly harmful products on our skin is becoming less and less as natural products are far more common on the market. Beyond make products that are 100% natural, vegetarian and not tested on animals. They are made in Cornwall in small batches which gives the company a really personal feel.

Ultra Radiance Age Defying Cleanser* £60 for 50ml
This cleanser is packed full of natural products including sweet blue lupin peptides with skin repairing properties that enhance wrinkle reduction. The cleanser uses gel to milk technology that washes off with water without containing any harsh chemicals. What I love about this cleanser is that it can be used in three ways.
1. Massage on to dry skin using dry hands then rinse off with wet hands or a damp cloth.
2. Apply to wet face with wet hands and massage onto skin as the product instantly turns milky. Rinse face to remove.
3. Dispense one pump of gel onto a damp cotton pad and wipe over the face to freshen up on the go.

As you can see, this product is really versatile and just needs to be played with to see what works well for you. I have been using this on a dry face with dry hands and then rinsing off in the shower. I find the scent slightly overpowering but this product feels lovely on the skin and leaves a clear complexion and gorgeous smooth skin.

Ultra Radiance Age Defying Day Cream* £68 for 40ml
This 100% natural cream contains 91% certified organic ingredients. It boasts an impressive array of natural products including alpine rose which restores the skins resilience. The cream protects against harmful UV damage and can decrease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

The cream is dissimilar to any I have used before. It dispenses from an airless pump as a very buttery substance. The product appears slightly separated but this can be targeted by blending together with a finger tip. On first use I totally overused this product; applying 2 pumps to my face. 1 pump of this is plenty for your face and neck. The cream has a rather overpowering smell, like the cleanser and feels oily on the skin. When massaged into the skin it leaves a lovely, hydrated feel. Although this is marketed as a day cream I personally don't use this under makeup as I find its too oily for a base for my foundation. Instead I apply this in the evening and allow it to work over night, soaking into my skin and leaving a gorgeous smooth feeling.

At 25 I don't have any wrinkles so I can't speak for those claims of the cream. However what I can say is that these products give a luxury feel, leaving smooth skin without using any harmful ingredients.

Peppy Galore Face Moisturiser and Body Mousse - Review

Natural cosmetics for ladies who don't take crap.

Peppy Galore is created by Jessi Fray, a former singer of a rock band who understands creativity and self-expression. The products are made from natural ingredients and don't include any nasties such as parabens or silicones. The packaging has a fun, cute feel to it and the products have gorgeous natural fragrances.

Peppy Galore Star Face Moisturiser for Normal Skin* £12.50

What the company say:
The Star Face Moisturiser was created to nourish and protect your skin against the damaging effect of sun and pollution, so that your skin stays soft, healthy and wrinkle free. This moisturiser is made with olive, avocado and apricot kernel oils, which are natural sunblocks and packed with vitamins and antioxidants.

The delicious scent of Star Face Moisturiser comes from organic lavender and rose geranium essential oils. They also improve circulation as well as balance the skin’s oil production.

I applied this moisturiser after cleansing my face and the oils allow it to be applied really easily, smoothing across the skin. This product has an instantly moisturising feel but without being too greasy or heavy on the skin. I tend to use a matte moisturiser in the morning so have been using this in the evening or after a bath. The product smells gorgeous, really natural and has a lavender scent. If I apply this before bed I can still feel the benefit of it in the morning; a real long lasting hydration. I love the quirky packaging and that the moisturisers all have cute names, Star, Diva and Rebel.

Herbs De Provence Body Mousse* £15.95 for 100g

What the company say:

Herbs are funny things. They are sharp and delicious at the same time, which is why they can really awaken your senses. Something that comes handy on a Monday morning, for example. Herbs de Provence Body Mousse is infused with rosemary, lavender and peppermint essential oils so its reviving and soothing at the same time. And peppermint gives it just a bit of extra zing.

Herbs de Provence Body Mousse will also put a bit of bounce on your skin. It’s made of butters and oils only, so it’s perfect for dry and dull skin. It contains no water, thickeners, preservatives or additional fragrances, so you’re getting your beauty kicks from 100% natural ingredients.

This body mousse is unlike any other body lotion I have used in its texture. The mousse is much firmer and stiffer than I imagined and means that a little goes a long way. I took a pea sized amount per leg to work into my knee and ankle and that really was enough. This is really deeply moisturising and smells just as gorgeous as the facial moisturiser. The affects of this are long lasting and the concentrated consistency makes this perfect for extra dry areas.

The Konjac Sponge Co. - French Pink Clay

The Konjac Sponge Co. Added French Pink Clay for Tired, Damaged or Devitalized* £6.99

The Konjac Sponge Co. make 100% natural vegetable sponges for face and body. They are colour free and biodegradable and claim to be kind to your skin and the environment. The sponges are made with konjac fibre from the root of the Amorphophallus  plant. This plant is naturally moisture rich and alkaline which balances the acidity of the skin.

To use this sponge you allow sponge to fully absorb water and then gently massage over the skin. The sponge needs to be rinsed after use but not wrung dry, just squeeze the water. The string on the sponge is used to hang it up to dry in a ventilated place. When dry the sponge is hard.

I have been using this sponge for a few weeks now and put off writing this review because I hadn't fully decided how this was going to fit into my skincare routine.

This sponge can be used with our without cleanser and can be used on its own to remove makeup. I wear a fair amount of makeup and found this wasn't doing a great job of removing it. I didn't want to use a cleanser on this sponge because I didn't want to taint the natural fibres with product.

It took me a few days to work out where this product would fit into my routine, but now that I have, I am really happy with it. The netted texture of the sponge makes it a great exfoliator but not harsh like many scrubs. I have been using this every morning after cleansing and it leaves my skin beautifully smooth and soft. When I apply my makeup I find that my face is a really even base and my foundation smoothes on really well.

This sponge can be purchased from the website at http://www.konjacspongecompany.com
